2 classes done, 2 to go

Well, I finished my Advance Software I class, and my Advance 2d Animation class. I'm sure glad I got those out of the way, got about 200 drawings done in a week, 90 in one day.

It's still pretty rough, and needs some tweens in some areas cause of popping.

It's been a while.

Well, classes are coming to a close, and that means crazy busy times ahead, actually, it's crazy busy right now. I need food first off, so groceries today, then I need to finish all my key drawings for my advance 2d animation class for wednesday morning, hopefully it won't be too bad. I'm really hoping I won't have to pull too many, if any all-nighters.

Well, good news is that it's really snowing outside, I hope this continues for days on end, of course it probably will get warmer and melt all the snow away anyways, but hope springs eternal.

Time to mosey on out of here. Have a good holiday season if I don't update before then!

Light up Night

I know it's been a while since I've updated, but this blog isn't too high on my priority list. Well, I was at Light-up night yesterday at the Art Institute of PGH and just kinda got stuck with helping my friend Don do caricatures. It was surprisingly a lot of fun, although it probably shouldn't be, I was just drawing like I normally do. So, that was my day yesterday, also, I met some of the peoples that work on somethingtobedesired.com which was really cool.

Head model done...kinda

Well, I've finished the most important part of this project, the head and that unwrapped. I gotta fix the teeth/gums, luckily I don't need to unwrap the tongue or the inside of the mouth.

well...

It's 4:30 am, I went to a party, had some good times, which didn't involve the crappy alcohol. Well, I started making a face of me that is more cartoony.

Good work day

Got up later than wanted, but headed to my Advance 3d Modeling class, which is loads of fun. We relearned how to unwrap a face, so our hw is to unwrap our faces. I already kinda did it, but then I decided to go back and fix up my model which messes with the unwrap anyways, so gotta redo that.

The first one is the wire frame, the second one has turbo smooth applied, which is a good to use as reference when modeling to see the outcome; for instance, I need to get rid of that seem on the forehead.

Busy day

Alright, let's see, got up on a few hours of sleep to go to my morning class that I was going to miss for NY...anyways, I was pretty happy, I just animated most of my walk cycle (it's a jaguar in perspective). I got done with a good chunk when the teacher came by and told me about a video in the library that has good reference because mine was kinda off. First reaction, "F!!!!!", second, "Sweet, good reference in the librar". After that class, I pretty much modeled the rest of the head as you see below.

All I need left is the hair, and maybe I can do some more subdividing to get more and better features.
